Earthkeeping: Climate For Change

On May 7, 2015 Dr Katharine Hayhoe presented to a crowd of 800+ at Vancouver, Canada’s Chan Centre for the Performing Arts on the theme of caring for creation.

Recently named one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World, Dr. Hayhoe is an atmospheric scientist who studies climate change. She may be best known for the way she is bridging the gap between scientists and Christians. Her efforts have been featured on Showtime’s Emmy award-winning documentary series Years of Living Dangerously.

Dr Katherine Hayhoe: A Climate For Change

Dr. Katherine Hayhoe, climate scientist, communicator, educator, and CCL science advisor, spoke at Citizens’ Climate Lobby Canada’s Carbon Fee Prosperity conference last month. Dr Hayhoe is an atmospheric scientist and associate professor of political science at Texas Tech University, where she is director of the Climate Science Center. She is also an evangelical Christian married to a baptist minister.

In her talk, Dr Hayhoe talks about how to discuss climate change with people whose values may differ from your own. It’s very insightful and helpful.
